A more personal story: 

I grew up in China and came to the States when I was 25. I earned two Masters degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and was a competent Software Engineer. But in 2013 I let go of all possessions and travelled in an old RV from 2013-2015.  The nomadic life and nature immersion let me peel into Social Anxiety, depression and the pain of Not Belong. I knew my life purpose is to love myself then love others, through healing arts and through leading people back to Mother Earth.

After those "dark nights of the soul" I've journeyed so, so far within and without. I travelled the world and learned from traditional healers (Thailand, Peru, Guatemala, Colombia). I found Earthskills community all around United States. Elders and friends taught me nature knowledge, ancestral living skills, and that we can be authentic And belong. 

I believe for any modern person, true health requires three right relations: 1) Intimacy with the natural world. 2) Intimacy with your "inner wilderness" - explore and unload the personal, societal, and ancestral trauma that we all carry. 3) Finding community to recover - and play - with.   

I no longer live in a van, but is still "down by the river" in rural Kentucky - a cabin on friend's 400 acres intentional community. In my work as an acupuncturist and regenerative medicine practitioner, I enjoy bringing improvement for good people. I forage all seasons and teach about plants.
